​Luke W. Jackson- Owner and CEO
Mr. Luke W. Jackson is the proud son of Mr. Eugene and Pauline (Kitchen) Smiley, the younger brother of the late Mr. Larry Kitchen Sr., and the older brother to Ms. Eugenia Smiley and Mrs. Erika (Smiley) Cooper. He is the Owner and CEO of L.W. Jackson & Family Mortuary in Brunswick, Georgia.
A graduate of Brunswick High School, Class of 1986, and Luke began his career with the City of Brunswick Fire Department from 1986 to 1988 before enlisting in the United States Marine Corps, where he honorably served for 12 years until 2000. He furthered his education with an associate degree in Fire Science from the University of Central Texas. During his studies, Luke pledged the Xi Gamma, Gamma chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., in 2003. He continued his service with the federal government as a Firefighter Medic, retiring as a Lieutenant with the Department of Defense in 2023, culminating a remarkable 35 years of total federal service.
Luke is a devoted husband to his best friend, Sherese, with whom he has shared 19 wonderful years. Together, they are proud parents to four daughters:

Reginald Martin- Funeral Director
Reginald is a licensed funeral director and embalmer based in Georgia. He earned his associate degree in Mortuary Science from Ogeechee Technical College. Before embarking on his career in the funeral industry, Reginald dedicated 26 years to the United States Army, where he gained invaluable experience and leadership skills. He is an active member of the Georgia Funeral Service Practitioners Association and an associate member of the International Association of Pet Cemeteries and Crematories, reflecting his commitment to compassionate service in both human and pet memorialization.
Mario Nichols-Apprentice Funeral Director and Embalmer
Mr. Nichols, a Mullins, South Carolina native, is the son of the late Marvis and Vickie Nichols. After graduating from Mullins High School in 2001, he attended Paine College in Augusta, Georgia, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication in 2008. He later moved to Europe for several years before returning to Georgia in 2009 to work at Woodforest Bank.

In 2012, he pursued an associate degree in Funeral Science at Ogeechee Technical College, graduating in 2014. He then joined Fairhaven Funeral Home and Crematory in Garden City, Georgia, where he became a funeral director, embalmer, and Crematory Manager. Alongside his funeral career, Mr. Nichols also became a police officer in Georgia and currently works at L.W. Jackson Mortuary Service in Brunswick, Georgia. He is a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and the Prince Hall Masons.
Erika Cooper- Office Manager
Mrs. Erika Cooper was born and raised in Brunswick, GA, to Eugene and Pauline (Kitchen) Smiley. She graduated from Brunswick High School in the class of 1993. In 1995, Erika obtained her Nursing Assisting License at Sears Manor Nursing Home, where she worked until 2003. She then continued her passion for helping others at Hospice of Golden Isles. In 2019, driven by her desire to support families in times of need, Erika helped form L W Jackson Mortuary Service in Brunswick, Georgia, as a way to give back to her community.
